HSLDA gives free memberships to families of preschoolers

Home School Legal Defense Association offers free memberships to families whose oldest child is younger than five years old. If your family is just starting out on your homeschooling journey, consider accepting this free membership offer to help you get off on the right foot.

HSLDA “is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children and to protect family freedoms.” Over 84,000 families belong to HSLDA, which offers legal representation and homeschooling resources for its member families.

Benefits of membership in HSLDA include consultation services, special discounts and homeschooling information. Members have access to a quarterly online magazine, phone and email consultants and the Online Curriculum Market. Discounts are given on items in the HSLDA Store, plus there are discounts available from other businesses whose services are useful to homeschoolers and their families. Members also receive email alerts on issues of importance to homeschooling families.

Families may continue their membership for a fee when their oldest child turns five. The one-year membership costs $120, but special group rates and multiple-year discounts are available.

The preschool years offer the opportunity to begin setting the course for your family’s homeschool. A free membership to HSLDA can provide guidance and support for your early days of homeschooling.
