Is homeschooling legal in Texas?

A Texas court ruled homeschooling legal in the 1985 court case Leeper v. Arlington Independent School District. In order to avoid compulsory attendance laws, homeschoolers must use a written curriculum to teach math, spelling, grammar and reading. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld this decision in 1994.
